PE Coffee Morning

PE coffee morning on Monday 28th March at 8.15am in the Library with Miss Clarke

This is a great opportunity for you to find out about how the PE programme has developed at Charter and to know about the opportunities that are on offer for our students.

There will also be the chance for you to ask any questions that you may have.

I look forward to seeing you there.

Charity Fundraising Afternoon

As you are aware, we have been collecting donations of money to give to the charity organisation, The Mercy Centre.

Thank you for your kind donations, they are greatly appreciated.

The Charter School Council have decided that they want to organise an afternoon of activities in order to generate more money that can be given to such a fantastic scheme, that cares, nurtures and educates children from deprived backgrounds. Many of these children are orphans and would be living on the streets if it were not for the Mercy Centre intervention.

This fund raising event will be held on the afternoon of Thursday 17th March. The start time will be 1pm, and children in classes from Reception to Year 9, teachers and parents will be able to visit and take part in games or buy food.

To make this afternoon successful, we need your help and support.

Food and drink

We ask that you can bring in donated food and drinks on this day so that the council members can set up stalls to sell the items. Any foods that can be made at home will be suitable (similar foods to what was brought into school for Loy Kratong would be fantastic!), or purchased foods from shops.

The council have also made a list of other foods that would be ideal;

●Soft/ fizzy drinks

● Quail eggs

● Satay and sticky rice

● Jelly

● Popcorn

Any other food items

Cake and brownie sale

We will be having a cake and brownie stall. If you could bring in a home-made cake on the day, we will have a competition to judge the best cake. Shop brought cakes will also be greatly appreciated. Cakes will then be available for sale.

Toy swap

We are holding a toy swap where the children can bring in any toys, CDs or books that are in good condition and no longer needed. Children can then purchase another donated toy for a small amount of money. Please bring in these items and place them in the basket in the lobby.

Prizes

We will be having lots of fun stalls where the children can take part in games such as the coconut throw. Please could you donate small bags of sweets that can be given as prizes. These can be put in the basket in the lobby.

Haunted house

The school council are creating a haunted house for the children to visit. Please could you bring in any items that could used to make this such as Halloween costumes and decorations. Please can the decorations be given to Ms Watkins by Monday 14th March, ready for the children to start creating the room.

Non-Uniform day

Children can come to school in their normal clothes on this day for a donation of 20 baht.

Bouncy castle

If any parents have a giant bouncy castle, Thai style ice lolly maker or a cotton candy machine that can be used on the day, please let Ms Watkins or myself know.

Thank you very much for your support in making this charity event successful.

If you have any questions please contact Ms Watkins or myself.
